Fiberglass Pool Builder in Westchester County, NY

Custom fiberglass pool installation, serving Westchester County since 2004

Coastal Pools & Spas has installed fiberglass pools for Westchester County homeowners since 2004 — over 20 years of experience with this pool type specifically. A fiberglass pool arrives as a single, factory-built shell, which changes how the whole project comes together compared to a pool built on-site.

Westchester yards run the gamut — flatter properties along the river towns, tighter lots closer to the city line, and sloped, wooded ones further north. We size up your specific site during the consultation rather than quoting off a generic template, since access and grading affect the project as much as the pool itself does.

Design and Customization Options

Fiberglass shells come in a range of pre-manufactured sizes and shapes, from compact models for smaller Westchester lots to larger rectangular layouts built for lap swimming. Beyond the shell itself, most homeowners customize a few other things:

We go over which of these make sense for your yard during the design consultation — not every option fits every property, and we’d rather tell you that upfront than after a quote.

Service Areas

We install fiberglass pools throughout Westchester County, including Ardsley, Briarcliff Manor, Bronxville, Croton-on-Hudson, Harrison, Katonah, Pleasantville, Rye, Scarsdale, White Plains, Yorktown, and many other towns. Not seeing your town listed? Request an estimate and we’ll confirm coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does fiberglass pool installation take in Westchester County?

The shell itself is often set in about two days once the site is prepped. The full project — including excavation, plumbing, permitting, and decking — takes longer and depends on your specific site.

How much does a fiberglass pool cost in Westchester County?

Cost depends on shell size, site access, grading, equipment package, and decking materials. We provide an itemized quote after a site visit.

Are fiberglass pools low-maintenance?

Generally, yes. The smooth, non-porous gel coat resists algae growth and doesn't need resurfacing, which typically means less time spent on cleaning and chemical balancing compared to gunite.

Can a fiberglass pool be installed on a sloped or wooded Westchester property?

In most cases, yes. We evaluate access, grading, and tree cover during the site consultation and adjust the excavation and placement plan accordingly. Some sites need additional drainage or retaining work, which we'll flag upfront in your quote.

What does the lifetime warranty on the shell cover?

Our fiberglass pool shells are backed by a lifetime warranty. We go over the specific terms during your consultation, so you know exactly what's covered before construction begins.

What sizes and shapes are available?

Fiberglass shells come pre-manufactured in a range of sizes and shapes, from compact models for smaller yards to larger rectangular designs for lap swimming. We go over available models during your consultation based on your yard and how you plan to use the pool.

Can I add a tanning ledge or spa to a fiberglass pool?

Yes. Tanning ledges and attached spas are both available as add-ons — see our tanning ledge and spa pages above for details on each.

How does a fiberglass pool compare to a vinyl liner pool?

Fiberglass has a smooth gel coat surface with no liner to replace over time, while vinyl liner pools typically cost less upfront but need the liner replaced periodically. We also build vinyl liner pools for homeowners who prefer that option — ask us about the trade-offs during your consultation.

Does Coastal Pools & Spas handle permits for fiberglass pool projects?

In most cases, yes. Our team can help with local permitting requirements and coordinate the paperwork and inspections that are part of the project timeline. Specific permit rules vary by municipality within Westchester County.

Should I choose fiberglass or gunite for my Westchester property?

It depends on your timeline, budget, and design goals. Fiberglass generally installs faster and needs less maintenance. See our gunite pools in Westchester County page for a comparison.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the initial consultation, my wife and I were so impressed with Alex, we discussed many different design ideas that we didn’t think were possible, he LISTENED to what our needs were instead of dictating the way “it should be” which is what many other contractors we interviewed said. Turns out it was the easier path to take for them but not the best for us.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We began this journey in April 2023 with a less-than-stellar pool contractor. After reversing course, we ended up hiring Coastal Pools based on a neighbor’s referral, that ended up being a fantastic experience. We appreciated Alex’s honest insight and assistance throughout our process and could not be more pleased with the professionalism of the team. After researching the various manufacturers of pools, it was clear that the design, engineering, and quality of a fiberglass pool from Coastal Pools is superior to the other options available in our area and carries the best long-term warranty. If you are thinking about putting in a fiberglass pool, I highly recommend Coastal Pools. They have been courteous, professional and responsive to all our questions and concerns.
